Well, I just now loaded EZ up with the network turned on and it played. I authorized with the network enabled and if I turned it off EZ would not work.

Voila, 'different computer'-which required another authorization code to install it again. Recent purchase, downloaded and installed toontrack product, then removed USB network adapter because I don't like my music machine connected to the internet. Not true at all-this is intentional policy as confirmed on their support forums, not an 'issue'. Is it that hard? Toontrack, if you are listening, do you want this bad rap on the reaper forum? Do yourself a favor and make it so your product doesn't force people like me who don't use internet at home in their studio to get locked out of your software at a critical time when composing time-sensitive film scores. Why can't a company do proper security on their software.

How lame is that? Arggghhh Toontrack you evil But Ez Player is a decent little program, though I agree the manual is more like an advertisement pamphlet. This just happened to me after accidentally unplugging a usb external hard drive. Keep your boxes, keep your receipts, and keep your authorisation codes, and they'll be nice and give you more uses. I just contact them and just tell them that I've upgraded my hardware or bought a new system. In spite of this, I've been using Toontrack products for many years now, and have had no issues when I've run out of authorisations for a product. Strangely enough, restarting my computer did the trick, and it restored itself before I went and used up another of my authorisations. Seems like nowadays you don't really buy software anymore, you simply pay for an extended trial version. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Ofcourse, after shelling out 300 dollars, it's always nice to have a company assume I'm a criminal because I like to occasionally re-install my OS (as many do) for various reasons, or upgrade hardware. (ouch) It's annoying enough to have only four total activations, but to have to use up two activations for when you're on and offline is just stupid. Horrible company, but the product (once you figure it out all by yourself) does sound good. The manual is not a manual, but a marketing pamphlet. Trying to get help from them is a crapshoot. How many more times will they do that to me? And ow many numbers does Toontrack give you? Purchase/license number, verification code, authorization number, computer ID number and what else? I just installed DSL internet and did some windows Updates (about 130mb that I had never bothered with before. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this problem.
